"Maius Viticultors’ 2009 Assemblage is composed of 40% Garnacha, 30% Carinena, and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 8 months in French and American oak. Purple in color, it offers up an enticing nose of slate/mineral, Asian spices, lavender, cranberry, and black cherry. Smooth-textured and supple on the palate, it reveals excellent concentration, volume, and length. Drink this outstanding value over the next 5-7 years."

"The 2009 Classic is made up of 45% Garnacha, 30% Carinena, and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 10 months in French oak. Fragrant aromas of slate/mineral, exotic spices, lavender, black cherry, and plum set the stage for a velvety-textured, plush, pleasure-bent offering that has the structure to evolve for several years. However, it is so sexy and nicely proportioned that readers will have a hard time keeping their hands off of it."
